Heritage Park Museum is a community museum that preserves and shares the history and stories of the region through living-history exhibits, heritage buildings, guided tours, heritage adventure recommendations, heritage gardens, and educational programs. We also function as a community space and park, offering large community events and private event rentals.

Come to the museum to learn about how people lived in a rural, rugged town of less than 300 people in the early 1900’s. Guided and self-guided tours focus on the visitors interests - whether that’s mining, fishing, homesteading, First Nations, or logging history.
Geo “The Carver” McKay, a Nisga’a carver, is often on site to tell stories and share his art with visitors. This summer, we also have a hands-on temporary exhibit on Kitselas First Nations culture, lands and stewardship.
We also welcome visitors who just want a peaceful outdoor space to enjoy a picnic or look at the gardens.
Whether it’s a sunny day or a rainy day, we have you covered!
