Carla is an Ecologist and Ethnobotanist who has worked for 20 years in collaboration with First Nations in Northern BC. She received her PhD at the University of Victoria in the Environmental Studies department under the supervision of the well know Ethnobotanist Dr. Nancy Turner. Ethnobotany  is the study of the relationships that exist between peoples and plants.
