Integrated pest management, or IPM, is an ecosystem-based approach that combines different management strategies and practices to solve pest problems while minimizing risks to people and the environment.

Eric Lennert is the City of Terrace’s Gardener. He has a horticulture certificate from Vancouver Island University and a Bachelor of Science (Integrated) degree from UNBC. He holds a pesticide applicator license.
