$20.00/hour | 37.5 hours/week | 15 weeks | position subject to funding
Overview:
We are seeking a Museum Coordinator to plan, promote, and implement our community programs and guided tours. The ideal candidate would have experience with kids, a passion for community and education, and someone who has great communication skills. The position begins May 7, 2024 and ends on August 20, 2024.
Duties:
- Coordinate and manage project timelines, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule
- Conduct research and gather relevant information for programs
- Assist in organizing and coordinating events
- Lead tours
- Handle visitor inquiries
- Develop, plan and run community programs, camps and tours
- Assist with general museum maintenance and tasks
Requirements:
– Must be between the age of 16 and 30
– Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
– Written and verbal communication skills
– The ability to work well in a team environment
– Experience with children is preferred
– Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
