		<description><![CDATA[The Marketing and Event Coordinator will plan, promote, oversee, and evaluate all special events at Heritage Park Museum.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Marketing and Event Coordinator will plan and oversee a dynamic season at Heritage Park Museum. The position will offer a student interested in marketing and heritage the opportunity to create events, develop networks, and create a short-term marketing plan. S/he will be responsible for all special events at the museum, most notably the Canada Day Celebrations, the Summer Arts Festival, Riverboat Days Museum Workshops, and biweekly Senior&#8217;s Teas. The student will utilise creative solutions to increase visitation, targeting both tourists and residents with promotional activities and materials. The student will enjoy a great deal of flexibility in the implementation of his or her ideas, and will develop specific career-related skills and experience that will assist in his or her eventual career.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about marketing, museums, and community events. Students with demonstrated experience in event planning or promotion will be given priority, though all interested candidates are encouraged to apply. The wage is $13.00 an hour, 37.5 hours per week, from 15 May to 31 August. Applicants must be between 16 and 30 years of age, and must be full-time students intending to return to school full time in the fall.</p>
